Week 5 Day 3 2009-03-21 59 59 and shaky, now this was a great ending for me :D My chest is all buffed up and my arms are shaking but it feels great! as Tony the Tiger would say... The first sets got me going pretty good, no worries at all and I felt stronger than before... Breathing was good and I pulled through the last one with no problem, at 30 I realised that I could do way more than before so I kept pushing past 50 and managed 9 more, when I slowed down I stopped couse I don't want to hurt myself again... Tomorrow I'll do a new exhaustion test and who knows? ;)...
Week 5 Day 2 2009-03-18 56 Ok trying to make my fingers work again =) Todays workout was made with Metallicas Seek And Destroy running in the back (love it) and it felt goooooood :P Don't know if going back one week is to easy but I was quite determined tonight and it was real fun, the beat of the music didn't quite match my speed but maybe I'll try Fight Fire With Fire the next time haha... Now the muscles on my back seem to have been activated couse they tense alot during the workouts and it helps to pull me up during the fast pushups, all sets were cake but just before the final I started doubting myself but took a sip of my homebrewed sugar drink (dextrosol mixed with water) and got to it, counted the first to 20 and restarted and once I got to 20 again I kept going untill I slowed down at 36 and stopped... Could have made another 4 or 5 I guess but these 56 was good and at full force so I was quite happy with em :D Kick ass!.. On Friday I'll do the Week 5 Day 3 for the second time and during the weekend I'll aim for 100 BUT I won't say I did it before my good friend 1004sure confirms it... Keep up the good work Tomas!..
Week 5 Day 1 2009-03-16 40 Ok so yesterday I decided to go over week 5 once more couse I got out off schedule so to speak, had a look at my past workout on day 1 and it wasn't too impressive haha... Started off with no problem this time and did the whole workout with no problem what so ever, felt great during the last set and could have done more pushups but stopped at 40 couse my stomach started cramping up and I didn't wanna hurt myself again... Anyway I am very pleased at how it felt and tomorrow it's time for day 2 and I can't wait =)...
Week 6 Day 3 2009-03-15 22 No, no and no... This one killed me straight off, well not realy couse the first sets was ok I guess, set 8 told me that I wasn't gonna finish the final one though I'm afraid... Now the final set ended at 22, quite sure I could finish it with some aditional breaks but it left me with a headache so I stopped... Anyway this was not a good day, I will do my exhaustion test on monday or thuesday and see were it leaves me, the on wednesday I'll start over week 6 and hopefully get a little better... Catcha later!..
Week 6 Day 2 2009-03-12 58 No pain no gain as Oneal once said, had to take the day off yesterday couse my chest was no recovered and I felt real bad about it... But wonders do happen, during the day I felt like the chest had somewhat gotten better but I said I was not gonna do the workout today anyway... Well I am a stuborn MF so ten minutes ago I started and I could feel a little pain but nothing serious... Now I'm not gonna say this one was cake but it wasn't as tough as I expected all was great, had to do two breathers and a 15 sec break on the last set at 47 but managed to shake out those last 11 pushups and I seriously think that 58 was my limit today with my chest "thingy" and stuff but I feel great now and I'm gonna do my next workout on saturday... Untill then...
Week 6 Day 1 2009-03-09 20 Ok without a doubt the toughest one yet, now I had a real sore right shoulder today and was concidering skipping todays test not to make it worse but I didn't want to so I gave it a shot anyway... Focused real hard and made it through the first two sets with a little pain but it wasn't sucking the juice out of me, actually it got me thinking how easy I can do 45 pushups now as my initial was 48 =) real cool... Anyway I won't kid around with sets three and four couse they made me struggle...Alot that is, up to 20 on both was not that hard but the rest was such a pain, both for my shoulder and my strength, finished both with some breathers... Now by this time I realised that set five was a no-go If I didn't want to kill my shoulder completely so I decided to stop when it was too much and so I did and 20 was the number... I'll have to wait and see how I feel on wednesday but hopefully todays workout didn't make it worse... Nick signing off...
Week 5 Day 3 2009-03-06 52 And so yesterday was the great exam day for week 5, I felt quite good mentaly about it but I had a horrible ake in the stomach region... Anyway I got to it and I did good I think, I set of with a good start and felt real strong through the first 7 seven sets but they felt a little bit easier than the day 2 sets... Last set was tough but not that tough ;) up to 30 was cake, pushed through another 22 slow but steady and landed on 52 in total :D Real happy to finish this week and just did the exhaustion test ;)... Big thanks to 1004sure for showing me this great challenge, thanks Tomas!..
Week 5 Day 2 2009-03-04 45 Better than ever, now this was something! I'm still a littly dizzy here haha, 185 total in under 10 minutes, not bad at all... First time with the double sets and it sure get you pumped up till the last set... I must say that I'm not feeling so good at the moment but I'm so happy I passed the workout, sets 1-7 was no problem even though I only had 45 seconds of rest... Last one was pure endurance from 30 and up to 45 and I crashed on the last one for sure haha, now my arms are hurting and so is my chest :D... Week 5 Day 1 2009-03-02 25 Sluggish, made a terrible mistake I know that now, did my exhaust test yesterday (090301) and was super happy with the result... Well it sucked the juice out of me for sure, todays workout proved it, first three sets were ok but I was so tired and the fourth killed me, struggled through and did a final set of 25 but I was in no shape for this workout... Gonna follow it through and see what happens on wednesday, did an extra three sets of 20 each just for the hell of it...Anyway I'll try my best on wednesday...
Week 4 Day 3 2009-02-27 42 And so it's showtime... Now this one got me thinking for real, set five is a minimum of 40 and my initial Max test resulted in 48 so it was time for a real endurance test for sure... Or not... The 2 minutes makes a huge difference no doubt, I can tell you that... Day 1 was a real bitch but today the Swedish car recycler was a happy man =) 29,33,29,29 and last but not least 42, did two extra and ended up at a total of 162... I love this shit and I'm looking forward to next week for sure! 1004thewin signing off!..
Week 4 Day 2 2009-02-25 40 Starting to get real tough now but honestly this one was a bit more easy than the last workout... The sets was as follows 25,29,25,25 and last but not least 36... The first four sets was cake as always it seem, last one started of real good untill I came up to 25 on that one... Had to catch my breath for a second then pushed up to 35, but wait it was 36 min haha so I did another 5 and ended up fair and square at 144 total and Max was 40... See ya on friday!..
Week 4 Day 1 2009-02-23 32 I will start this comment with holy shit!.. I was full of confidence today but boy was this sucker a tricky one, started off pretty good, deep pushups and set 1-4 was actually no problem at all... The 60sec break between the sets seemed alright but shit I know now that a little more rest would have pulled me through set 5 a little bit easier... Starting of set 5 I did great up to 15-18 then I started to feel real fatigue all of the sudden, hit me like a brick wall, managed to catch my breath for a sec or two and did the rest but seriously I had no juice left what so ever... Anyway success again but it was a tough one...
Week 3 Day 3 2009-02-20 35 So it was time for the showdown of week 3, this time I followed the advice of resting during the workouts (it's so hard thought =) ) Anyway I prepped myself with a caffein boost energy drink thingy and tried to focus on the task... Set 1-3 (22, 30, 20) was cake and I felt real strong after set 4 (20) I could feel a little burn in my chest and it felt good, I was quite sure that I would pull through the last set aswell but could I do more than 28? Starting set 5, pushup 1-20 went a-ok :) and so did the 15 pushups that followed ;) crashing down on 35 haha... So today was a success and I got a real confidence boost aswell, see ya in week 4, have a good weekend...
Week 3 Day 2 2009-02-18 25 So after reading more about the program I realised that I was starting off wrong, my initial test was 48 pushups so I corrected myself and today was time for the Week 3 Day 2 workout and boy was I a bit to optimistic haha... The first three sets was quite ok but during the fourth I realised that the last set of 25min pushups was gonna be a tough one, I was counting down the 90sec and tried to pep myself to get through them... Set five starts and I start it off quite good but when I reach 15 I start to feel fatigue BUT I managed to push through almost slamming my forhead in the floor after pushing up from the 25th pushup... Success! :D...
Week 1 Day 1 2009-02-16 48 Well to start off, my boss 1004sure got me into this :D Been working out for some months now so I got realy excited about trying this out... Missed a part in the program and did the Week 1 Day 1 first but included my initial test in this one so I did 48, 20 and then 10, 12, 7, 7, 24... The last 24 was just to even out the previous ones, didn't know I was suppose to max out the last one...
