Week 6 Day 3 2010-02-23 62 Well, I'm at the end! I finished at 62 pushups. Not too shabby! Hopefully I will push out 100 when I take my final test.
Week 6 Day 2 2010-02-20 60 Ka-BAM! And I'm back! So, after today, I think I have realized that I am better off doing more sets with less reps rather than less sets with more reps. I think my adrenaline builds faster and I am able to produce more in the end. I hit 60 again on my max. My arms are starting to look bigger and my chest is starting to become more defined. I definitely need to keep this up once I'm done with the program! 100 pushups, here I come!
Week 6 Day 1 2010-02-18 56 This was definitely the hardest day yet. My last set was really difficult, but the one that was the hardest was the second. I think that the next two days will be easier.
Week 5 Day 3 2010-02-12 55 AWESOME! This was probably the best day of them all! I finished with 55 on my max out and every set was easy to do! I continued to count every five push ups, which made it a lot easier to get through them. I am going to do my exhaustion test on Saturday rather than today. I think that I should rest before I do it. Excited!
Week 5 Day 2 2010-02-10 45 So, I don't think I pushed myself in the last set today. I was striving to make it to around 55, but I just couldn't do it anymore... or that's what I thought. I think I could have really done more had I tried harder. I tried a new counting method today by counting every 5 pushups. It seemed to work a lot better in terms of reaching a goal. I'm just hoping that I'll be able to push out 100 by the end of next week.
Week 5 Day 1 2010-02-08 45 Wow! I feel so strong this week! Getting through the first four sets was a cinch! The last set was the hardest, but it was hard mostly because I really wanted to break 50. Didn't achieve my goal, but I definitely feel stronger than I did last week. Can't wait to do 100!
Week 4 Day 3 2010-02-05 50 Well, I'm halfway there! I maxed out after 50 pushups! The first four sets were really easy for me today. I feel stronger in my upper body and I think that I can only get stronger from here out. Now a weekend for rest!
Week 4 Day 2 2010-02-04 45 So, the second day of week four was much easier than the first. I maxed out at 45 pushups, but the sets prior to my final set were quite easy. I think I am getting stronger and my endurance is starting to rise. I think I need to start monitoring the time that I take between sets better.
Week 4 Day 1 2010-02-01 35 I thought this week was going to be easier. It started off easy, but as I progressed through it, it became harder and harder. I did manage to perform 35 pushups before I maxed out (I think I maybe could have gone a little farther), but the sets prior were more difficult. I also may have added an extra set; I forgot how many I had done before my final set. Overall, I think I feel stronger and I think I will continue to grow stronger throughout the week.
Week 3 Day 3 2010-01-30 47 Today was really successful for me! I had maxed out at 47 pushups and the sets prior to my final set weren't too difficult. I'm anxious to get to level four on Monday!
Week 3 Day 1 2010-01-29 29 After doing my initial test, I was ranked into the third week in the last column. This first day was quite easy for me. I maxed out at 29 pushups (1 pushup away from my initial test). Hopefully tomorrow I'll see some progress in my fifth set.
Week 3 Day 2 2010-01-29 35 My previous level I had done earlier this morning (around 2 AM). I performed this level at 1 PM, so I broke the rules a bit: I didn't have a full day's rest. I plan on doing my third level for the week sometime tomorrow so I can have a full rest on Sunday before I start into week 4 on Monday. This level was harder than yesterdays, but I still maxed out higher than I had yesterday, so that's great! We'll see if tomorrow I can keep it up. I'm sure without having a full day's rest it'll be difficult, but I think I can do it!
