Week 4 Day 3 2010-03-20 40
Week 4 Day 2 2010-03-18 39 Feeling very good about second pass at this week after today's workout.I was able to easily finish after only putting in 27 last week. I even had enough to do another 25 after max set. I did this because I did not feel I had exhausted muscles like in previous workouts. Max (39), Final Set (39), and Total Workout (168) all records!
Week 4 Day 1 2010-03-15 33 Noticing that I tend to use a wider stance in my first sets, then bring hands in and down a bit on final, max set.
Week 4 Day 3 2010-03-13 25 First time I failed to complete a middle set. Forced myself to complete all 160, but took extra breaks to complete. Hoping the diligence pays off when I repeat week 4 next week.
Week 4 Day 2 2010-03-10 27 Aaaarghh!! Disappointed that I could not put in max 36 jon final set today. This means I will be repeating week4. On the upside, I forced myself to put in the last 9 on short (~45 sec.) break. Total 140 for workout is new record! Could feel my triceps spazing out during workout.
Week 4 Day 1 2010-03-09 32 Tough workout...did fewer total than Friday, but the set stack was tougher with min of 32 on final set. Noticed slightest adjustment in hand position makes big difference. Moved hands a bit closer together and closer to body on final set.
Week 3 Day 3 2010-03-05 31 Tough work out...seemed even tougher than last week for some reason...just did not have a lot of energy today. Maybe more carbs on off days? Either way, was able to set personal bests for one set(31), final set(31), and total (123)!
Week 3 Day 2 2010-03-03 28 Broke through last weeks barrier and had some left in tank. Feeling great! Nearly knocked out 29 on last set.
Week 3 Day 1 2010-03-01 28 Had to repeat Week 3. I felt a little weaker today than Friday, glad I started with Day 1 (was thinking of starting on Day 2). On bright side, this was the most pushups in final set I have done.
Week 3 Day 3 2010-02-27 27 Picking up the pace certainly helped. I was almost able to complete this workout (1 shy) which is even harder than what I could not do Wednesday. Speed at the start propels you to a higher number before fatigue sets in. Slower, deliberate pushups are actually a lot more work. Still using excellent form, but form eroded a bit on 29 and 30 of second set. Feel very confident for repeating this week. RECORD 119 total pushups!
Week 3 Day 2 2010-02-25 20 First workout that I could not complete...a bit disappointing. Only 23 of 25 on second set, 20 of 25 on final. I have since looked for a video of anyone doing 100 consecutive, good form pushups. Have not found one yet. I did learn that I likely need to increase my pace.
Week 3 Day 1 2010-02-23 24 Slight increase over Friday, which is good I figure...since I had an exhaustion test yesterday. The rest of the week does not look quite as tough as before now that I was able to pull 24 out of last set.
Week 2 Day 3 2010-02-19 21 Definitely tougher than Wed...had to take extra time before last set, but at least was able to get minumum of 20. Feel very confident about Sunday's exhaustion test and getting at least 25.
Week 2 Day 2 2010-02-18 20 Easier than Monday...at least for these early workouts, the program is working and my levels are steadily and consistently increasing. I really wonder about doing 40, 45, and 50 pushups at a time for closing sets in the upcoming weeks. I guess I'll just have to be patient and trust the program.
Week 2 Day 1 2010-02-15 20 Definitely tougher than week 1, but was able to increase last set (max). I need to more careful about hydration.
Week 1 Day 3 2010-02-12 17 61 total for last work out...exciting improvement! Looking forward to week 2 and the following exhaustion test. Made the mistake of looking at week 3 too early, but Duplantis is encouraging me to have faith in program!
