Week 5 Day 3 2010-05-15 60 やっと出来ました~!!!! it took two tries, 3+ weeks and a modicum of personal frustrations to add some fuel, but i finally did it! feel like a million freakin' bucks right now (^o^)v looking forward to the next exhaustion test. WORK = PAIN = ❤
Week 5 Day 2 2010-05-07 50 well... that was a pleasant surprise ^^; E❤パワ~~~~!!!o(^o^)o (probable assist: jolt! caffeine energy gum, haha)
Week 5 Day 1 2010-05-04 40 forgot what i was doing, stopped counting and bailed at 40 on the failure set (>_<) lame. sure i could have squeezed out at least 45. still upset i have to do this week again, especially since i don't really feel any stronger after the first go-round.
Week 5 Day 3 2010-05-01 40 ちくしょう (>_<) no excuses. back to frickin day 1.
Week 5 Day 2 2010-04-29 45 good golly miss molly, that was an absolute ass-kicker! (>_<;; felt *superb* thru everything and thought i'd breeze to a 50 max 'til about half-way thru the failure set before reality started stepping on the back of my head, haha. took everything i had to make it to 45, and only after the slightest cheat pause at 40. should i not have done consecutive days? maybe. in any case, i'll save day 3 'til at least saturday. hoo-rah.
Week 5 Day 1 2010-04-28 45 RRRRRAAAAWWWWRRRRR!!!!!! hell yeah. i haven't gone easy on myself this week, so was a little worried going into this first day, but the exhaustion test a couple days ago was encouraging. took a semi-extended break before the failure set (about 2.5-3 mins), so that might have helped account for +5 over the minimum req. ^^; but this is really exciting, ready to rock the rest of this week.
Week 4 Day 3 2010-04-23 40 again, barely. didn't sleep great again last nite, but feel ok. took slightly extended (around 3 min, about 4 before the last set) breaks. also not positive i had great form on the last 10 reps of the failure set. now the questions becomes: to move on to week 5 or repeat week 4??? i barely made the minimum -- but i *made* it. hmmm. well, let's see how the next exhaustion test pans out (gotta beat 60) and decide after that.
Week 4 Day 2 2010-04-21 36 good. gravy. made the minimum on the failure set. barely. took 2+ min breaks between sets. have the feeling i'd be well-served repeating this week's regimen before moving on to 5.
Week 4 Day 1 2010-04-20 35 two things here: 1. i reeeally need to start getting some better sleep ^^; 2. i ended up with something of an extended rest before the failure set because my mom called 10 reps in, so i ended up restarting about 10 minutes later (so this max gets an asterisk). dunno if i would've made the 32 min otherwise.
Week 3 Day 3 2010-04-16 30 lordy. the 30-push up wall in the final set is getting higher (>_<) still, i'm managing to exceed the min. requirement. next week's goals are a little daunting, but i like the progress i'm making. feel great, too (^-^)
Week 3 Day 2 2010-04-14 30 definitely tougher. started out a bit tired today again after a long day of classes and not great sleep last nite, but still. starting at week 3's been tougher than i thought, but i feel like i can/should be doing more. anyway, happy to get to 30 again.
Week 3 Day 1 2010-04-12 30 harder to push out that 30 than i thought. (tho, given the lack of sleep i had last nite, i guess i could point to extenuating circumstances. i guess.) should be improved come weds.

Exhaustion tests

65 2010-05-25 upsetting. but not entirely unexpected given the lay-off. i anticipate having to do week 6 at least twice, and maybe even moving down from column 3 to column 2 (>_<) ファッキング頑張るぞー!!!
65 2010-04-26 well, i was gunning for at least 70, but i suppose progress is progress. in my defense, this was completed out in rain, against gravelly asphalt, immediately following an hour of running. anyway, i'm gonna go ahead and push thru to week 5 and see how it goes. 頑張るぞう!
60 2010-04-08 (starting program from week 3)
